Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University (KazNMU) is the foremost and one of the oldest medical universities in Kazakhstan. From its inception, it has now completed 88 years of service in 2018. It is reputed for offering medical education that combines academic and scientific-research work.

Applying to Asfendiyarov KazNMU as an International Student
The application process at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University involves the following:
– Copy of passport
– Copy of the certificate of completion of school/college
– Copy of the transcript of a certificate/diploma
– Certificates of English language proficiency with the following scores: IELTS (5.5), TOEFL: PBT (525 and above), iBT (46 and above), or PTE Academic (42 and above)
– Medical reports
The documents must comply with the requirements for a foreign citizen. The applicant has to undergo an interview testing (an exam on biology and chemistry) after the verification of documents by a selection committee. Applications are shortlisted from June 1 to July 20.
At KazNMU the tuition fee is to be paid only after concluding the contract.
After filling in the contract, it is necessary to go to the cash desk of Bank Center Credit and pay at least 40 percent of the tuition fee.

– Pediatrics – 40% – 338,800 Tenge
– Public Health, Nursing full-time – 40% – 308,040 Tenge
– Dentistry – 40% – 480,000 Tenge
– Pharmacy – 40% – 406,560 Tenge
– Pharmacy (full-time) (reduced on the basis of higher education and college) – 40% – 308,040 Tenge
– Technology of pharmaceutical production (TPhP) – 40% – 305,184 Tenge
– Management on the basis of higher education – 50% – 285,000 Tenge
– Management, TPhP – 40% – 254,320 Tenge
When paying the tuition fee, the bank charges a commission at the rate of 0.3 percent of the amount, which is about 70 Tenge. After the payment is made, the candidate has to go to the Admissions Committee and register the payment.
Students who have enrolled in the first year of study on the basis of state educational funding are awarded a state scholarship, which is paid monthly during the first semester. For the following semesters, the state stipend is assigned and paid according to the results of the examination of the first semester.

To encourage the employment of graduates at the University, the Center of professional orientation, development of students, and employment of graduates organizes annual job fairs, where graduates on the campus can establish contacts with the representatives of health departments, pharmaceutical companies, and the Department of Consumer Protection of the RK. Equipped with the latest facilities, the hostel building has the capacity to house over two thousand students. The rooms are furnished and have all the necessities for a comfortable living.
